Design and Technical Development Workshop/Projects
Design and Technical Development Workshop/Projects is an initiative of Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) to uplift the artisans at various clusters which includes the following:

1. Delhi- Fashion Accessories
2. Firozabad-Glass
3. Agra-Marble
4. Lucknow-Chikankari
5. Jaipur- Vegetable dye
6. Kolkata-Sital Patti
7. Saharanpur-Wood
8. Chennai-Palm Leaf
9. Srinagar-Wood carving
10. Bhubaneshwar- Patchwork

The designer from NCDPD stays at the above clusters for 15 days and gets new and innovative designs developed from the artisans on the crafts that they cater to. A total of 20 prototypes in two sets are developed over a period of 15 days by 30 artisans.

Integrated Design and Technical Development Workshop
Integrated Design and Technical Development Workshop/Projects is an initiative of Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) to uplift the artisans at various clusters which includes the following:

1. Khurja-Pottery & Ceramics
2. Puri-Ethnic Crafts
3. Delhi- Festive Decoration
4. Firozabad-Glass
5. Varanasi-Zari & Zardosi

The project is carried out for a period of 6 months and a minimum of 40 prototypes in two sets are developed by 50 artisans with the help of an NCDPD designer who gives new and innovative designs to them.
