Trends, forecasts and changing taste of the consumers interpretation and knowledge are the three major components which were always missing links with the Indian Handicrafts sector. Due to non availability of the authenticated and universally accepted Forecasting Agency for the colors for the Spring & Autumn, countries and regions the handicrafts exporters normally produce the products/ merchandise without any leads . Normally due to these reasons the overseas buyers do not regard the Indian handicrafts as driven by the consumer preferences.
EPCH in association with NCDPD already initiated a comprehensive design and product development programmes and we are glad that large number of the members have started taking the services. To further infuse the component of the Trends, colors and forecasts in the production and manufacturing process, EPCH has tied up the words leading and top forecasting Agency “ WGSN” London which provides its forecasting only to the select clients in the world. A brief of the WGSN is also attached for reference.
EPCH is very pleased to inform that WGSN has kindly consented to provide the access to “ Trends , Colors & Forecasts” for next seasons. However since the interpretation of the trends colors and forecasts needs designers role play, NCDPD designers shall provide the interpretations to the member exporters . The services shall be made available at a very subsidized cost and first come first serve basis.
